Weave

Terms of Use

Effective October 18, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Weave Android app ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app.

1. What the app does

Weave is a media player and file browser for storage that you own or are authorized to access, such as a network-attached storage (NAS) device, a USB drive shared by your router, or a shared folder on a computer. The app does not provide, host, sell or distribute any media content.

2. Your content and responsibilities

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or by the open-source licenses of its components, which are listed in the app under Settings → About.

3a. Free trial and Weave Pro

Weave is free to download and includes a 7-day trial of every feature. After the trial, browsing files and playback remain free, and some features (such as the organized library, posters and multiple servers) require Weave Pro, a one-time purchase through Google Play. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Purchases are processed by Google and are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play's refund policies; refund requests can be made through Google Play. Weave Pro is tied to your Google account and restores on new devices signed in to that account. We may add features to Weave Pro over time; we will not remove the core features you paid for from a version you already have.

4. Third-party services and trademarks

Optional features may use third-party services, such as The Movie Database (TMDB) for posters and descriptions. Your use of those services is subject to their terms. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Weave is not affiliated with or endorsed by Plex, Tailscale, Netgear, Synology, QNAP, Western Digital, Microsoft, Google or any other company named in the app or its documentation; their names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

5. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what the app stores and the connections it makes. In short, we don't collect your personal data.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, file or storage product. Playback depends on your device's hardware decoders, your network and your storage device.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any. Always keep backups of important files; the app only reads from your storage, but we cannot control your devices or network.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
